MSPRC – Not Working on Your Medicare Liens

An MSPRC representative has told LRS that work on Medicare liens is on hold.

The MSPRC is so backed up that any case submitted after December 15, 2010 has not yet been worked.  We think that means new files only.  In fact, we have had overdue items worked and sent to LRS in January and February.  The MSPRC representative told LRS that internal emails have put Final Demands on hold for the last 2 to 3 weeks.  Those same emails state that the MSPRC has used the previous few weeks and will continue for another few weeks with a “30 day catch up” time.  This means that all Medicare lien documents that you are waiting for (that have become past due) will be in your hands in the next 30 days.  Additionally, a batch of reimbursement checks for Medicare lien appeals, disputes, and compromises went out on February 16 and 17.

Is it true?  Maybe.  But keep in mind that in August a special work group had been created to catch up on overdue items.  Now the entire MSPRC staff is working on overdue Medicare lien documents.

LRS can help resolve all healthcare liens.  Please contact us for more information.
