The MSPRC will host another Town Hall Meeting on April 29, 2010 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm (EDT). The meeting is titled:
“Changes in the MSPRC Conditional Payment Process for Liability Insurance, No-Fault Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Cases.”
The MSPRC purpose for this meeting includes education on the New Conditional Payment Notice and Process, as well as updates on:
- The MSPRC Recovery Process & Timelines
- The Rights and Responsibilities Letter
- Proof of Representation vs. Consent to Release
- What’s new with the MSPRC
Please follow the link to sign up for the April 29 Town Hall Meeting/Webinar. Lien Resolution Services will attend and update you on any changes.
Keep in mind that the changes to the Conditional Payment Notice process do NOT effect Section 111 MMSEA Reporting. Responsible Reporting Entities (“RREs”) must begin reporting cases settled after October 1, 2010 starting on January 1, 2011. Also remember that while mandatory reporting has not yet begun, permissive reporting remains in effect. It is possible that RREs will choose to report your settlements now. Be prepared: Watch out for Medicare settlement delays.
